Objectives:

Each individual delegate will be able to:

  • Check the chair for its safe use
  • Demonstrate on how to put the chair together
  • Demonstrate how to make the chair up for re-housing/storage
  • Demonstrate correct methods of moving a client onto the chair
  • Demonstrate bringing a person down a staircase, when supervised by trainers
  • Safe method of getting a person out of the chair

Course Content:

  1. Introduction – including a safety brief
  2. Models of evac-chairs
  3. Practical demonstration of your evac-chair
  4. All students to be able to demonstrate safe use of evac-chair, safely utilizing the chair to bring a person down a set of stairs

 

Recommended For: All staff – Min 8 Delegates Max 12 Delegates

Duration: Approximately 2 hours (Min 8 Delegates) (3hrs max 12 Delegates)

Certification: A certificate of attendance will be awarded

Cost: Min 8 – max 12 delegates @ £68.25 per delegate plus VAT

Note: Due to the practical nature of this course we recommend that delegates wear flat shoes and trousers. Trainers must be made aware at the start of the course, whether students are able to complete the practical side of the course.
