Business Support Administrator/Training Assistant Apprentice

Norfolk Safety CIC are looking for an Apprenticeship for a new and exciting role in the company. The successful applicant will provide support and work with the small team at Norfolk Safety CIC contributing to the growth and development of a professional training organisation. Providing information to existing and potential clients requiring Fire, First Aid and Health & Safety Training.

Apprenticeship summary

Total hours per week: 37.50
Weekly Wage: £225.00 per week
Possible start date: 10 May 2021
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level 3 (A level)

Dealing with booking enquiries and all associated paperwork/digital recording, ensuring logistical and cost-effective solutions are achieved to maximise training delivery and profitability. Working with the team to develop, promote and assist in training delivery across all existing and new training courses. Gather feedback, social impact information/evidence and collate to provide an analysis of customer satisfaction, content and delivery, training/course development and business growth. Assist trainers in delivering written tests and practical training exercises.

Primary functions: Deal with booking and course enquiries, arrange training rooms, location, facilities and trainers, maintain equipment and course facilities, set up, administer and greet delegates on open courses and external courses when required, assist trainers in written and practical training delivery, maintain documentation and customer relationship management information, analyse and recommend course improvements and business development, identify business opportunities, manage targeted business development campaigns, contribute and help to shape the joint success of the company and secure your opportunity to fund a permanent position within a growing and expanding company.

Norfolk Safety CIC is a Community Interest Company established by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service in 2015.

We offer both standard and bespoke training packages inclusive of Fire, Health & Safety, Risk Assessment, Industrial, First Aid and CPR. We cater for individual sole traders to multinational, educational, third sector and government institutions continually developing our course offer to meet the needs of legislative requirements and commercial business interests.

Establishing the company as a CIC enables all profits to be ring fenced to be reinvested in community interest projects such as, fire prevention for the vulnerable and youth engagement /development activities, improving safety and developing awareness for all.

In partnership with Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service we share common objectives in promoting and developing safety for everyone at home, work and in leisure time. Our courses are designed to develop awareness and promote safe working and leisure practices throughout the county of Norfolk and beyond.

Our training can be further tailored to meet individual company or service user need and we have to date successfully developed courses specifically for companies across all sectors and sizes.

Requirements and prospects

  • IT skills – if possible, PowerPoint presentation skills or the ability and interest in learning how to design and develop training presentations, creativity skills, Web Site development or the ability and interest to learn

Desired qualifications

GCSE (or equivalent) grades A*-C or 9-4 English and maths or be prepared and willing to complete the Functional Skills qualifications alongside the apprenticeship. Training for this provided by Adult Learning. We offer a flexible delivery style suit every learners’ individual needs and requirements.

Things to consider

  • County and nationwide travel may be required inclusive of occasional overnight stays
  • Flexible start and finish times and occasional out of hours working evenings and weekends
  • The ability to handle and move Fire Extinguishers and fire props/equipment will be required
